Having a good camp service should be a priority, for at this stage –right before the ascent- our energy levels must be the highest, something achieved through appropriate rest, feeding and hydration.

Many companies offer this service, putting up cooking and dining tents with full facilities, providing cooks, kitchen helpers and a coordinator.

Refugio Plaza de Mulas is another interesting option. Located only fifteen minutes away from the base camp, it is an important building where travelers can have meals, different categories of rooms, large lounges, dining rooms and access to communications either on line or through pay phones.
